Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Nine deputies from the Olmsted County Sheriff's Department were involved yesterday in the search for a missing Winona area woman and a similar number have been assigned to the search effort today.

Sheriff's Capt. Scott Behrns says they have been concentrating on the southeast corner of the county between County Road 9 and Chatfield. He says County Road 9 and Highway 14 are the preferred routes used by 31-year-old Leigh Meska when she drove between her home in Goodview and her job at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

A statement issued yesterday by the Winona County Law Enforcement Center indicated Meska left her home in the near-record cold yesterday morning headed to Rochester but never reported for work. She was driving a gray 2014 Chevy Impala with Minnesota license plate 136MWK

Meska is described as 5-foot-3, 125 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair. She was wearing a sweater with black leggings and a red jacket. Goodview Police are requesting the public's help in locating Leigh. Anyone with information that could be useful in finding her is asked to contact the Goodview Police Department 507-452-1500 or Winona County Law Enforcement Dispatch at 507-457-6492.
